There’s a new Telos Single/EP thing out for free until the end of the month.  A sexy young superstarDJMC named Sherlock Cock has a tasty remix on the B-Side.  Go and grab it while stocks last…. Bear With Me Records.

P.S I swear to buggery I’ll do a new comic soon.

I’m Baaaaaaaaccck

June 1, 2008

So I’ve finished all my university work and the mini-heatwave was broken today with gallons of glorious cool rain.  So it’s about time I start doing some more doodling.  I still have a bit of work to do before I have room in my office to draw, but there will be new comics soon.  This will include one I’m doing for the Friends of The Galapagos Islands Nature Trust – Kids newsletter.  In other news I’ve been putting together my summer books, albums and DVDs ready to devour over the coming months.  I will be posting pictures of the piles later too.

See you in a few days with a comic.

PS. Listen to Japanther

New Comic up this afternoon.  It took ages and I really like it.  After not seeing what all the hype was about I finally sat down and gave the new Burial album a good listening too.  I’m now super hooked, and it has inspired me to go and try and work out what Xiu Xiu is all about.

GO and listen to this Burial song

DJ N-Wee – The Slack Album (Jay-Z’s Black Album versus Pavement’s Slanted and Enchanted)

This album was never off my mp3 player when I worked all those shitty temp jobs and it got me through months worth of drizzly commutes. Then it disappeared when Dangermouse got done for The Grey Album. But some kindly soul has uploaded it back online and I suggest you all go and get it.

There’s a new comic up over at the site. I don’t have much to talk about at the moment, I have been mainly learning to use music software whilst having nightmares about my dissertation deadline (3 weeks and I’ve barely started). On the bright side I did remix Telos’ new album top to bottom so maybe that will be around sometime soon for you to deeksy deek.

Aspire for ’08!

April 4, 2008

I have spent the past few days making a little postcard size comic called Why Hip Hop Sucks in ’08, it is a little 16 page black and white pamphlet with a few poems, comics, doodles and jokes.  I’m essentially just ripping off Lizzlizz and David Shrigley, but I’m having fun and that’s all that matters.   If you would like a copy of this life changing document, then let me know in the comments, or email me.  Or hit me up on MSN (  I need to know how many to print.

In the meantime I am so lazy I have used a preview page as my latest comic update, go and have a look, and if it’s any recommendation, it’s in my top 5 favourite things I’ve ever drawn.

Ages ago I drew this picture inspired by 65Daysofstatic’s song Asphalt and Trouble. Last night I decided to re master it whilst listening to their awesome new remix/single. Here it is in its squashed-to-fit-wordpress glory.

I then drunkenly emailed this to the band. That probably had them scratching their heads this morning.

Apologies for the lack of updates/comics, im currently swamped with work and practicing my mad flash skillz.  In the meantime you need to watch Kanye West’s officially commissioned video for Can’t Tell me Nothin’ starring Zach Galifiankis.  I haven’t laughed this hard for a fair while.

Hello ‘the internet’

March 3, 2008

Just wanted to drop by and deliver a quick message to the internet: if you say in your blurb that my webcomic is ‘manga-style’, 90% of the webcomics community is going to read that as my webcomic is ‘dull’. Also if you are on the internet movie database forums and you find yourself typing ‘worst movie ever!!!1!‘ in a thread title, chances are you have a poor home life.

Now I have got that out of my system I wanted to recommend the new(ish) Mike White film Year of the Dog which I would argue is his best work since Chuck and Buck. The story of a middle aged lady who is forced to reevaluate her life after the death of her dog may seem boring, but the performances and script are very well balanced, and it has an indie movie mentality without delving into the overly smug (Juno, Garden State) or the overly quirky (Napoleon Dynamite). The performances by the supporting cast are amazing, John C Reilly and Peter Sarsgaard almost steal the show from Molly Shannon’s lead, and the guy who plays her boss (Josh Pais) really does steal the limelight. Perhaps not one to buy but if you can rent it or get it on a sneaky download I guarantee you will laughandcry.

In other news, my homo-crush on the local band Dogtanion has lead me to design a myspace sized gig advert for them, which I present here with and without the dates speel. Go and listen to their tunes.

I am certainly not ripping off the cover of the utterly superb Black Hole by Charles Burns… no… put away your accusations…

Incidentally, If you like great graphic novels and have £12 to spare, Black Hole is essential, a psychadelic and horrific examination of sex in the early 70s era when the hippy movement is dying and David Bowie is still just a little too weird. The black and white artwork is incredible, and if my recommendation isn’t enough for you, David Fincher likes it and is turning it into a feature film.

After I wrote this post I went off and finsihed up another bit of homo-crush work I did for Dogtanion. Oh God, I’m doing FAN ART, the end is surely night for me:

I put a new comic up on, go and have a look if that’s what your life has come to.
